Marketing
The Marketing Team is responsible for using marketing tactics and strategies to raise awareness of the cause and mission of FoodBank Lakeside. Our primary goals are to solicit donations, attract volunteers and supporters.
The Marketing Team supports the needs of the other teams when the need for publicity arises for fundraising, donor acknowledgement, and volunteer recruitment.
The Marketing Team primarily utilizes social media and email marketing strategies. The basic focus of marketing that is independent of the needs of other teams is:
- Share stories from and about recipients of our efforts. Using images, direct quotes, and authentic storytelling.
- Keep donors informed of where their money is being used.
- Keep FoodBank Lakeside visible to not only our existing donors but the entire community of Lakeside as well.
The Marketing Team focuses on the following tools and relationships
- Facebook posts
- Holidays and special events
- How donation dollars are being used
- Donation options
- Updates on programs and partnerships (like Kids Kitchen)
- Stories about our families, the Kids Kitchen, food poverty in general, etc.
- Email Marketing Campaigns
- Thank you for your donation

- Develop and nurture media relationships
